Summary :
In 1914, Wilhelm Uhde, a famous German art collector, rents an apartment in the town of Senlis, forty kilometers away from Paris, in order to write and to take a rest from the hectic life he has been living in the capital. The cleaning lady is a rather rough-and-ready forty-year-old woman who is the laughing stock of others. One day, Wilhelm who has been invited by his landlady, notices a small painting lying about in her living room. He is stunned to learn that the artist is no other than Séraphine.

Synopsis :En 1912, le collectionneur allemand Wilhelm Uhde, premier acheteur de Picasso et découvreur du douanier Rousseau, loue un appartement à Senlis pour écrire et se reposer de sa vie parisienne. Il prend à son service une femme de ménage, Séraphine, 48 ans. Quelque temps plus tard, il remarque chez des notables locaux une petite toile peinte sur bois. Sa stupéfaction est grande d’apprendre que l’auteur n’est autre que Séraphine. S’instaure alors une relation poignante et inattendue entre le marchand d’art d’avant-garde et la femme de ménage visionnaire.

Summary :
Henri is a young actor who dreams of playing in Fast & Furious but who finds himself cast in a movie by the legendary independent filmmaker Cédric Rovère. Even if the conditions during the shoot aren’t quite what Henri expected, he is won over by the charms of his on-screen partner and the generosity of the master filmmaker, and emerges transformed by the experience. Rovère is also won over by Henri’s eager imagination and youthful spirit, and views the film shoot as an unexpected gift.
